Membership Issues

     Q: I want to become a subscribing member of bbMIA but I don't understand how the sign-up process works.

You can use our online membership form to become a subscribing member of bbMIA. Simply fill out the form - it'll ask you for the typical set of information: your name, e-mail address, and credit card information (Visa or Mastercard only) that will allow us to charge your card $4.95, the monthly (30 days) subscription fee. This is a one time charge. After a month's time (30 days), your membership will expire, and you will have to fill in the form again. In the near future we will offer automatic renewal.      Q: Is it safe to purchase my subscription online?

Absolutely! Our secure server protects all pages that ask you for personal information using state-of-the-art Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. With today's 128-bit encryption on secure servers, it is virtually impossible for anyone to access your private information through the transaction.
    Information sent from a secure page will be encrypted before being transmitted. You will know if you've entered a secure area when a secure icon will appear on your browser, usually a lock icon. Secure web pages can also be identified by their URL: they begin with "https://", while standard pages begin with "http://".

     Q: May I share my username and password with other people I know?
     
A:
Sharing your username and password is a violation of our Terms of Membership. If our security software determines that you are sharing your username name and password with others, your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to login. In order to access our website again, you will have to re-subscribe.

     Q: Why can't I log in?
     
A:
Please use the username and password sent to you, and make sure that you are using all lowercase letters. If you've forgotten your password, contact us at . In order to protect you, we only send passwords to the e-mail address you used when you signed up. Never give your password to anyone else.
    If you were able to log in before and are no longer able to log in, it is probably because your subscription has expired. We always send a notice via e-mail before your subscription expires to give you a chance to renew your membership, thus avoiding any interruption in your ability to access bbMIA.
    Another reason why you may not be able to log in is because your membership privileges may have been revoked because of "password sharing". Please see the previous question for more information.

     Q: Why didn't I get a user ID or password?
     
A:
After signing up, you will first receive a confirmation e-mail with your order number. You will receive your username and password in a second e-mail within 24 hours.
   If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, it is possible that you entered your e-mail address incorrectly. In this case, please contact us at and include your full name and address plus the last four digits of the credit card you used (this allow us to find your information quickly).
    If you don't remember entering any credit card information, you may have signed up for our newsletter rather than membership to bbMIA. The newsletter is free and includes news and updates about our website, but does not include membership.

     Q: How do I cancel my membership?
     
A:
Currently, there is no need to do anything to cancel your subscription. Your subscription automatically comes to an end after one month (30 days), at which time you will need to renew it if you wish to continue accessing the bbMIA website.
